One rainy night, a xerox operator meets a mysterious woman in a dark, passionate tale of duplicating fates and identities.. .
"Seroks", an intriguing digital indie film by Ed Lejano, will have its UP premiere on February 28 (Wed.) at the UPFI Cine Adarna with screening times at 5 & 7pm.
The pyschological drama, a production of Cinema One Originals, makes use of the film noir style and fuses elements of the thriller, in conveying a recurring pattern of duplicating events that reflect the film's title.
Set in the vibrant world of Recto, Juliana Palermo plays the mysterious woman who moves into a boarding house above a xerox shop. Palermo's femme fatale character soon encounters the xerox operator who works below her (played by Neil Ryan Sese).
As the story unfolds, its diverse, offbeat characters get intertwined into a mosaic of human experience where they all seem to meet a similar "xeroxed" fate. Set amidst contemporary realities of piracy as it tackles the nature of destiny and identities, whether genuine or fake... this is the intriguing world of "Seroks".

"Seroks has a sense of experimentation both in visuals and narrative, ultimately allowing different stories to be told in different ways."
--Yonina Chan, Manila Bulletin
"One of the more interesting entries in this year's Cinema One Digital Film Fest...the production is an exhilarating mishmash of themes - convoluted sex, violence, drama, romance, fate, and the human mind."
--Rito Asilo, Philippine Daily Inquirer
