The long wait is over as UP Film Institute finally screens Mes de Guzman's Ang Daan Patungong Kalimugtong—one of the very few true gems that usheredin the much ballyhooed new digital era for Philippine cinema.From Sampay Bakod Productions, the multi-awarded digital feature screens on four consecutive Fridays this June beginning June 8 until June 29 at 2, 5and 7 p.m. to constitute a fitting highlight for UP Film Institute's school opening special all throughout the month. It tells the poignant story ofsibling kids on their daily routine of crossing steep and slippery mountainsand traversing long winding roads to attend a village school.
