CINEKATIPUNAN PRESENTS AN ANIMATION AND EXPERIMENTAL
FILM & SHADOWPLAY FEAST

Cinekatipunan presents a feast of classic and contemporary animation and experimental films this week. Led by Filipino independent cinema stalwarts Ellen Ramos, Roxlee and Kidlat Tahimik and featuring the works young innovators and art educators ArtFarm, Avid Liongoren Ramon del Prado, Bryan Quesada, Brendan Goco and ST Exposure. Cinekatipunan kicks-starts the week with a screening of independent films from Singapore, including Singapore International Film Festival Special Jury Prize winner INNOCENT and the unheralded internet hit TAK GIU and closes the week
with the screenings and live performances of Anino Shadowplay and Kidlat Tahimik.

Jacen Tan: TAK GIU (2004/ 15 mins / Singlish with English subtitles)
An indie film about soccer/football culture in Singapore. Having taken up the challenge of a friendly soccer match, 3 soccer crazy boys realise that it is
not easy to find a good, free public soccer field in Singapore… if there’s any at all. Through their journey they encounter obnoxious care-takers, locked-up
fences, deterring weather and a persistent policeman. Will they be able to find their dream soccer pitch?

PINOY BOY (Directed by Don Salubayba) a superhero who needs to be saved.

ROW OUT BOAT (Directed by Don Salubayba) An Aninomation version of the famous children’s song.

ONE MINUTE MAN (Directed by Teta Tulay) explores the first 60 seconds after the revelation of an impending end.
